Phil Latch [LL.M.] Love "Silent Mechanism" since Volvox played it in her Noorden podcast. The other two tracks on the EP are nothing less than banging either - great release! Favorite track: Silent Mechanism.

about

Dallas-based Gavin Guthrie, better known as TX Connect, is a DJ and Producer that is one of the finest the North American underground has to offer. His dedication and commitment to keeping things real is staggering and JACK DEPT is proud to welcome him for the label's first ever release. The “Farewell To Arps” EP contains absolutely smoldering, jacking, acid-tinged rippers. This is dance floor material through and through, burning stuff. This is music for dark rooms, lovingly prepared in Texas, and mastered with care by Soren Jahan in Berlin.

The JACK DEPT label is born from the monthly party run out of Brooklyn by Volvox and John Barera. For anyone not familiar with the JACK DEPT party the mission of the label is just as straight forward: techno, acid and a hint of electro. When the party launched in 2014, TX Connect was the first guest DJ and he will be back this year.
